The base XE variants of both the Harrier and Safari now costs Rs 20,000 more, while prices of other variants have gone up by Rs 25,000. With the latest hike, the Harrier range costs between Rs 15 lakh to Rs 22.60 lakh. The revised prices of the Safari range from Rs 15.65 lakh to Rs 24 lakh (ex-showroom).
The Harrier and Safari share the same 2.0-litre diesel engine that makes 168 BHP and 350 Nm. The engine is paired with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission.
Meanwhile, Tata Motors is gearing up to launch the 2023 Harrier and Safari Dark edition later this year. Both SUVs are expected to get a larger 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 7-inch instrument cluster, a 360-degree camera and ADAS.
Tata Harrier EV is said to come with a 360-degree camera and ADAS (advanced driver assistance system) for safety. The EV, as showcased at Auto Expo 2023 event will feature a blanked-off grille. It will be equipped with a new bumper and a triangular-shaped headlamp cluster.
On the rear, the EV will come with refreshed LED tail lights and a revamped rear bumper with tweaked skid plate. One can also see an LED light bar that runs through the boot lid. The EV sits on dual-tone alloy wheels.
Tata harrier facelift has been spotted testing wearing camouflage by MotorBeamer Vittala. It seems like the SUV will get an updated design.
We believe the Indian carmaker will give it a similar look which we have seen with the Tata Harrier EV at the 2023 Auto Expo. It will get an restyled exterior to make it look fresh and updated.
The front fascia is expected to get sharper with a new headlight and DRL setup. The front grille and the bumper will get restyled as well. The side profile will look similar to the current model on sale but you can expect to see a new set of alloy wheels.
Rear profile of the SUV is expected to come with new tail light design and bumper. Most of the styling elements are expected to be borrowed from the Harrier EV concept.
Tata Motors will tweak the interior as well offering new colour tones and textures. We have already seen the updated all-digital instrument cluster design and the larger touchscreen infotainment system at the Expo. It’ll get a new UI and more features on offer.
The updated Harrier will get 360 degree parking camera, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, connected-car tech, ventilated seats and even the ADAS tech.
Engine option will remain the same. It will be powered by the 2.0-litre Kryotec diesel that produces 170 PS and 350 Nm of torque. It is yet to be confirmed if the carmaker will introduce a petrol engine option for the Harrier.
Along with this, Tata Motors will also updated the Safari which will get cosmetic changes for the exterior and interior and new features.
